When my daughter was younger she loved pink and glitter so we decorated her room to match. We created a chest of drawers out of an old set, all in pink and with heart shaped handles. She has long since grown out of the sparkley pink phase, so I've finally got round to updating her room. The last piece is to re-invent the chest of draws.

I'm using Rustoleum Furniture Paint to update the colour and adding new handles to give it a much more sophisticated look. We've gone for a fantastic duck egg blue. A small tin was big enough to cover the whole chest of drawers and cost £6.55. With the addition of 6 new handles at 75p each the whole thing cost just over a tenner - not bad for a designer chest of drawers! Rustoleum Furniture Paint is available to order.
